I wanted something travel friendly, not too childish looking, comfortable, practical, light and at a reasonable price. I think this is the best bet. The packaging is practical and light. My husband was impressed too. It is also bigger than I expected, so I think it will be suitable for at least 1 year if not more. It folds up and opens easily too. It looks nice and trendy and is safe most importantly. Do not have to worry about it collapsing. I also like that there is a mosquito net for camping for eg. You can carry it in your hand when packed up or throw it in your suitcase. I would feel comfortable traveling on my own with our baby and taking this along since it would not be a burden (weight and size terms). The only thing I am a little uncertain of is the quality of the fabric. It is quite thin, so I think you need to take care you do not tear it especially the nylon sides. Considering all the the... I have five small children and homeschool so we are all together all the time and the baby has to sleep lots of places. We already require so much stuff that not having to carry a huge pack and play is really nice, that being said... It already has multiple small holes, the material is so light it easily tears. Also, the reason I bought his was b/c my baby is a tummy sleeper and will not sleep in an infant seat...so here are the problems...the mattress is puffy, so I have to keep checking that his nose is free and clear. Secondly there are only two little pieces of Velcro holding the mattress down, so if he moves around at all the mattress comes up and it's a thin tent material b/t his head and the hard ground. My last complaint is that although it's easier to carry around than a pack and play it's more of a hassle to put up and down. It has these plastic joints and one broke right away, so be careful and frankly it's a pain putting it up and... In a hot and humid location. The whole bed fit inside a large suitcase for traveling, takes less than 5 minutes to fold and unfold the bed. and although we didn't use the netted canopy. It could had been useful if our room was filled with mosquito. Thank you Air conditioner. The bed was soft, and easy to set up. But some how, the bed tends to lean to the side. (that's why the 4 stars) I had to put something underneath the bed to level it. it was also long enough for our growing, 24 inch, 5 month old, and still more room to grow. It's extremly light weight. Will definately bring this to our next trip. |
