And WOW! my efforts really paid off. this bed is a gem. it really is soooooo soft that (i think another reviewer somewhere said this), i want one my-size for ME!! VERY plush. kind of like if chenille and velvet had a baby? this wld be the feel. the removable cushion has 2 different color sides(tan/dark brn), which i turn mine tryin to decide which way looks best (they BOTH look great! can't decide). the sides are soft but yet stay upright in the way u want. i put the cushion in pulled more toward the front, so it leaves a very low front and higher back, like a little cove. i think my cat likes it better that way. but whatever way i put it, HE loves it! When I got my tabby 15 years ago she came with a bed. The larger, covered kind with a pillow inside that she used quite often, especially in the winter. Unfortunately this particular model was made out of wicker that over time started to come apart strand by strand. When it came time for a replacement, I opted for something with a little lower profile that I could actually pet her in, and clean a little easier. This particular corral style bed is quite common, but not with the higher sides, or in the generous size of 16". For some reason, a lot of the cat beds without a canopy top are just too small. Oh a lot of cats can manage to curl up and catch some sleep just fine. But I am sure I am far from alone in having a cat that just loves to s t r e t c h. You know the look. My kitty absolutely loves this bed. At first I felt irresponsible for spending $20 on a pet bed (there are cheaper alternatives) but I don't regret it now because she likes it so much. If you have multiple cats you should get the large, but the medium would be big enough for one (even two) cats if you wanna keep that $5. I bought the large. My cat weighs 12 pounds and she takes up about 1/3 of it. |
